BERLIN (Reuters) - Security staff at some of Germany's biggest airports, including the global hub Frankfurt, walked off the job on Thursday, grounding flights and piling pain on Europe's largest economy. The 24-hour strike, called by labour union Verdi, is the latest in a series of industrial actions that has paralysed the country's transportation sector in recent weeks. Almost 200,000 travellers will be affected by over 1,100 flight cancellations or delays, the German airports association ADV estimated on Wednesday as some of Germany's biggest airports including Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg and Stuttgart said there would be no departures for passengers. Last week, German train drivers had staged their longest railway strike to date following a week-long nationwide protest by German farmers who had blocked the country's roads. CNN —New analysis has identified the oldest shoes ever discovered in Europe, according to a study published this week in the journal Science Advances. The ancient footwear, along with Mesolithic baskets and other tools, was first discovered back in 1857, when a cave in southern Spain was looted by miners. The sandals were made of grasses as well as other materials, including leather, lime and ramie bast, a type of natural fiber. Using the descriptions provided by Góngora, the study hypothesizes that the bodies were buried wearing the sandals. The first phase was related to the Early Holocene hunter-gatherer populations, and the second phase to Middle Holocene farmers, researchers said.

BERLIN, April 20 (Reuters) - Airports in Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Cologne Bonn were virtually empty on Thursday in the first of another round of strikes called by Germany's Verdi trade union over the cost of living crisis. Nearly 100,000 people will be affected by aviation security worker strikes on Thursday and Friday at the three airports, airport association ADV said, with around 700 departing flights to be cancelled. "The situation in the terminals today is the same as previous Verdi strikes this year: departure terminals are empty, the situation is calm," a Hamburg airport spokesperson said in a statement. Germany's EVG union has also called for a nationwide transport strike on Friday, with national rail operator Deutsche Bahn among the companies impacted. The strike will affect 50 companies and run from 3 a.m. until 11 a.m. (0100 GMT-0900 GMT), with significant disruption expected, the railway and transport union said.

The Verdi union is negotiating on behalf of around 2.5 million employees in the public sector, including in public transport and at airports. Railway and transport union EVG negotiates for around 230,000 employees at Deutsche Bahn (DBN.UL) and bus companies. Verdi has called on around 120,000 employees in the transport and infrastructure sectors, including ground and air traffic service providers, shipping, motorways and municipal ports, to join the strikes. We want a negotiable offer," said Martin Burkert, the chairman of the EVG union, which represents workers at 50 transport companies, including railway operator Deutsche Bahn. Berlin/London CNN —Lufthansa has canceled more than 1,300 flights scheduled for Friday after the Verdi labor union called for full-day strikes involving airport workers at seven German airports, including Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg. Lufthansa, one of Europe’s biggest airlines, was ceasing all flight operations at Frankfurt and Munich for Friday, it said in a statement on its website on Thursday. It expects regular flight operations to be “largely back to normal” on Saturday, February 18. Overall, more than 295,000 passengers were affected across Germany, according to the airport association ADV. The Verdi union is demanding a raise of 10.5% for its members.

☆ Lansarea Proiectului „Parteneriat Transfrontalier Pentru Dezvoltarea Antreprenoriatului Social

Fundația “Alături de Voi” (ADV) România, în parteneriat cu Academia de Administrare Publică și Fundația „Ecoul Cernobîlului” din Republica Moldova, au lansat, în data de 23 noiembrie 2020, proiectul „Parteneriat transfrontalier pentru dezvoltarea antreprenoriatului social”, nr. 2SOFT/1.1/107, finanțat de către Uniunea Europeană în cadrul Programului Operațional Comun România-Republica Moldova 2014-2020, prin intermediul Instrumentului European de Vecinătate (ENI). „Prin implementarea acestui proiect, vom contribui la dezvoltarea programelor de formare profesională în domeniul antreprenoriatului social, replicând experiența Academiei ADV, urmând ca peste 470 de actori relevanți activi în domeniu, din regiunea transfrontalieră România-Moldova să beneficieze direct de această inițiativă. Contribuția Fundației “Alături de Voi” România este de 29,586.7 Euro, a Academiei de Administrare Publică este de 12,008.5 Euro și a Fundației „Ecoul Cernobîlului” este de 2,397 Euro. Uniunea Europeană se angajează să împărtășească realizările și valorile sale cu țările și oamenii de dincolo de granițele sale.

Pe rafturile magazinelor din țară, găsim adesea mai multă marfă străină, decât produse locale. Și aici ne referim în mare parte la fructe și legume. 90% din toată producția sa ajunge la export, în mare parte, pe piața Uniunii Eeuropene și doar 10% este vândută local. O cantitate foarte mică de prune din livada lui Ion Ionaș ajunge și în magazinele din țară, însă prin intermediari. Vindem doar fructe ambalate, în caserole de plastic”.

☆ Verificarea produselor perisabile la vamă. Cât se reține lotul de marfă la frontieră

Odată ajuns în vamă, lotul cu produse perisabile trebuie verificat de autoritățile responsabile de procedura de export, cât mai repede posibil. De regulă, toate aceste activități de control n-ar trebui să durează mai mult de câteva ore.Totuși, potrivit specialiștilor, durata exactă a verificărilor depinde de câțiva factori. Contează și tipul de produse importat, de exemplu, timpul de verificare a unui lot de căpșuni va fi diferit în cazul controlui unui camion cu roșii. ‹ adv ›De menționat că verificările ce se referă la siguranța alimentelor și furajelor nu sunt singurele care sunt efectuate la vamă. Orice lot cu marfă care urmează a fi exportat este verificat și de Serviciul Poliției de Frontieră și Vamă, acestea sunt alte tipuri de controale, care țin de șofer și automobil, în mare parte.
